As I read yesterday, Google is adopting new privacy measures to make it more difficult to identify people making online searches.
The engine will now regularly destroy the identity information it collects about millions of users by wiping its system every 18 to 24 months. Privacy campaigners who are worried because the information can be used to build a detailed picture of a user’s surfing habits or lifestyle, welcomed this measure (natural!). However, officials can demand to review personal information before Google removes it (natural as well!).
