kings of gipsy punk – gogol bordello london 2
Start Wearing Purple! Start wearing Purple for me now!!

Thanks to internet finally I got my ticket (a couple of hours before) for the concert of Gogol Bordello! (a bit more expensive but of course, Gogol Bordello deserves it!)
The ?Orchestra of f**g immigrants jamming in a mirror? (as they describe their selves) played its gipsy punk combined with polka, rock, folk, ska and flamenco with energetic glee as I?ve never seen before.

Ukraine, Israelis, Thais, Ethiopians, Chinese Scots… a motley crew of nationalities that mixed with the violinist (an ex theatre director) have a deep influence on band?s performance. In London, they finished the gig stand up on top of a huge drum held up in the middle of the audience. Crazy, isn’t it?
The people were jumping from the first song, and no one stops till the last one, I felt as 18 years old, non-stop jumping and sweating. The audience (me inclusive) got mad with their famous hits as ?60 revolutions?, ?start wearing purple? or ?not a crime?.
To sum up, these guys rock live! It was an amazing gig, perhaps the funniest in my life, the kind of band that enjoys its music and transmit the good vibrations to everyone on the gig? A band you must se before you (or they) die!
Ah! And of course my flatmate was very happy?
