sprint waitless

Via stumble I have arrived to waitless

sprint waitless

A very cool website with video tutorials teaching how to refund time doing some tedious tasks.

Some sprintcuts:

  • Speed-tie your shoes
  • Quick-peel an egg
  • Instant shirt removal
  • Turbo park
  • Instant babe soothe

“Turn tedious tasks into fleeting moments with Sprintcuts - tips that will refund your time and amaze your friends.”

Also has a “live” calculator to see where your time goes on a very funny way.

Turbo park and the Quick-peel an egg are (in my opinion) the best ones! See more stuff in their youtube

80 best photshop text effects

80 best photshop text effects

via microsiervos, I have found this cool list with the 80 best photshop text effects.

Perhaps the turorials are not good enough (in my opinion are for photoshop experimented people) but with a bit of practice is not very difficult to do what they say, and in some of them you have to original files (very helpful).

I know how difficult is to find the best font for a logo and text effects are always useful to differentiate your logos/designs from the rest.

The article also have 6 Text Effects Photoshop Actions and 3 Text Effects Photoshop Books

If you have created another text effect is not on the list, you can also send it them.

Graffiti artists not using paint. No harm, no foul!!

“Using an exposure of about ten-to-thirty seconds and a tripod for best results, Light Graffiti artists start at the first click. Glowsticks, flashlights, reflectors, and even torches have been used as mediums to create all sorts of designs and tags, as the artist becomes a ghost of a blur, if visible at all.”

s.o.s sagrada familia

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

“La Sagrada Familia”, the BARCELONA’s building declared Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO is under hazard because the spanish government want to build a tunnel for a high speed trains only 1,4m under the basement of Antoni Gaudi’s greatest work.

s.o.s sagrada familia

The general concerns are the following:

  • Vulnerability and weight of the building.
  • The work construction (28 months) will put a strain to the Sagrada Familia and its surroundings.
  • The unstable nature of the foundation of the construction and the underground currents that cross it.
  • Bearing in mind that the monument every day receives an average of 7.000 daily visits.

Mil? House (Antoni Gaud? as well) is also affected by the tracing of the tunnel.

I know the new train station (high speed trains) is going to be very useful and will help a lot to Barcelona Sans station (nowadays congested) but I hope it doesn’t affect to any of this buildings.

Trying to be rich? Complete the golden jigsaw puzzle and win $1,000,000 with goldenjigsaw.com.

the golden jigsaw

To complete the 1,000 pieces picture and win the jackpot, you first have to find the pieces, and they could be anywhere on the internet!
Last 10 pieces will be put on global charities websites. About 7,500 players have already signed up, which begins at 12pm on 20th July, and will last up to seven months.

Do you think you spend time enough on internet to solve it? GOOD LUCK!!

The golden jigsaw site is hoping to attract interest from various social sites including YouTube…

I think is a very clever idea, this guys are going to make a lot of money selling pieces to websites… shit, was not my idea again!!

my first wordpress plugin

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Today I have developed my first wordpress plugin: list of posts by category plugin for wordpress (I need it for a new website I’m building…)

list of posts by category plugin for wordpress

This plugin (very basic) displays a list of the posts from each category of your WordPress installation. It can be added to a post or page, or used directly in a template file. In the plugin?s options page you can choose the header.

Is very useful if your posts are under one unique category because can work as a Sitemap from your blog, if not you are going to have duplicate links.

Perhaps you are going to find it useful, may be not; for me works… enough!
