arcade fire – alexandra palace – review
As I promised, here you are my review of Aracade Fire on Alexandra Palace – London – the 19th of November

About Alexandra Palace: I don’t like this place for a venue (though the view should be spectacular on a sunny day, it was raining), too far for me, we arrived via bus+tube+train (more than 1hour) and once there: 15min walk up to the hill. Inside, queues for everyhing, drink, toilets… Sound system was a shit, promise, I’ve never been in a big concert with such bad sound.
About Arcade Fire: Was allright even though I expected more from them live. Definitely, I was not very impressed by the performance. In my opinion they are a bit poor live. Too much time between songs and they only did it very good on Wake Up and Antichrist Television Blues. I must point out that the drummer made an absolute fool of himself…

What a load of tosh! I went to this gig and it was outstanding – as good as I’ve ever seen. Fantastic energy, euphoric, great sound and effects. I thought they’d be great live but the exceeded my expectations. Alexandra Palace is inaccessible but it has a cavernous, slightly-warehouse feel to it which made it a perfect fit for Arcade Fire’s big sound.
