In The art of the tittle you will find a collection of credits from film and TV series ( video, sound and images) ordered alphabetically and in my personal opinion selected with great discretion.
Last week I finally had a chance to go to check out the remains of the Cans Festival that took part few weeks ago in London (I couldn’t make it then because was so crowded was imposible to go in), where the international artists invited by Banksy decorated the tunnel (used as a taxi run in the days before Eurostar decamped) close to Bakerloo.
If you have not gone yet, you are able to check out the stencils for yourself over the next six months. 100% must be seen!
Yesterday I was messing around and typed “Salou” (the village where I grew up) into Flickr.com (in my opinion the best management and sharing application for photos and “long photos” )
To my surprise, instead of pictures of tourists red as lobsters, really nice pictures showed up, and most of them were taken by Aitor Escauriaza…
You can click and drag to pan around and zoom in and out using the usual google map interface or view the map full screen
Is just a presentation but a company is currently working on a render farm of 250 or so processors for their London model and they expect to have it in movie form soon…
Biquitous emblems of our consumer civilisation, aka barcodes have received a radical makeover by a Japanese firm D-barcode and their ideas ended up on grocery products all over Japan.
Check this amazing roundup of creative barcodes out: Roasted Blend
I’ve already talked about Banksy at this blog, but last weekend I saw this hilarious piece highly related to happiness at work on the side of a trash contanier in Notting Hill, and I think deserves a new post.
The text is a parody of a “La Fontaine” fable and goes like this:
?Once upon a time there was a bear and a bee who lived in a wood and were the best of friends. All summer long the bee collected nectar from morning to night while the bear lay on his back basking in the long grass.
When Winter came the Bear realised he had nothing to eat and thought to himself ?I hope that busy little Bee will share some of his honey with me?. But the Bee was nowhere to be found - he had died of a stress induced coronary disease?.
Banksy - Wall and Peace, I’ve got this book at the office, and I’m used to check it out when I need a break…
“A lot of people never use their initiative because no-one told them to.”
The book shows and explains some of the best work from Banksy, a British street artist with an international reputation who in my opinion does a f**g good stuff!
This sentence is the slogan of design-police.org, the perfect website for frustrated graphic designers.
If you want to take an active interest in the victimisation of the poor quality, and irritating graphic design that plagues our streets today, you can download their Visual Enforcement Kit, complete with all the tools you need to embark on your mission of graphic agitation.
Some notices/inflict acts of design I really like:
Sometimes (like important dates) google logo changes. Who is in charge of these designs? Dennis Hwang is.
In this video the Chief Google Doodler Dennis Hwang draw a Google Doodle from start to finish (quick motion of course). He creates a doodle that commemorates the Lunar New Year and invites students to join the Doodle 4 Google art competition.
Ah! Have you noticed the quality of the video and audio… too much for youtube?
Jung von Matt/next, is the Jung von Matt agency for interactive and innovative communication. They present the project “Tagged in Motion”.
