easy brain training

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

All you intellects out there, can you work out the next (in my opinion very easy) brain training questions?

First one:

There are 7 girls in a bus.
Each girl has 7 bags.
Each bag has 7 big cats.
Each big cat has 7 small cats.
How many nipples are there in the bus?
Note: each cat has 7 nipples.

How many nipples in total?

Second one:

A business man was in BrainBashers Village for a meeting. He had time to spare before the meeting, so he decided to get a haircut. He looked at a street map and was surprised to find that there were only two barbers in town, right across the road from each other. He walked across the village and came to the two barber shops. He went into the first one and was shocked by the dirtiness and the hair everywhere. The place was a mess! He looked at the barber and the barber had a really messy haircut all in his face and uneven. He went across the street to the other barber and saw the place was immaculate, clean and shining like new. The barber was nicely dressed and had a dazzling haircut: it was perfect. However, the man walked across the street and got his haircut at the shabby barbers. Why?

Have fun!

But I am not going to talk about this now (will soon), this post is to let you know that I am flying this afternoon to spain and will spend the weekend in a music festival (Sonorama Arande Duero), awesome music, better food and even better wine, everything in large quantities.

If you want to join us, please don’t hesitate to show up!

See you next week!

extreme ironing bureau

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Definitely ironing is latest hi-adrenaline extreme sport.

As the fans described: “is the latest danger sport that combines the thrills of an extreme outdoor activity with the satisfaction of a well pressed shirt”, ok, but frucomerci recommends: Please don’t try this at home!

y viva espana

Friday, July 18th, 2008

Friday, another fucking cloudy day here in London, it does not look as summer, believe me, is depressing!

Last weekend I went to a karaoke with some friends and we played this song, I don’t know why I’ve been singing it since then…

I miss Spain too much!!

Y VIVA ESPANA (English version)

Oh this year i’m off to Sunny Spain, Y Viva Espana
I’m taking the Costa Brava plane, Y Viva Espana
If you’d like to chat a matador, in some cool cabana
And meet senoritas by the score, Espana por favor!!

absentee & micah p hinson - 16th Jul - bush hall london

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

I arrived to the venue (The bush hall) when Absentee (support band) were already playing (a bit late, as usual), and to be honest I didn’t know them but definitely is a band to keep an eye on (I’ll do), the singer possesses a gruff voice (what I really like) and all together give off a positive energy full of talent.

Micah P Hinson, what can I say? this guy is a f**g genius! With his gravel-voice and his texan accent
he had them all engrossed from the begining until the last song, showing how good he is.

Maybe the only thing that disapointed me a bit was talking too much (between songs), he said that he doesn’t like Bob Dylan, made fun of their band members and of a gig he had in Spain where no one was listening to him at all.

Ah! thanks Pilun for the tickets!!

Today: Death Cab for Cutie in Carling Academy! Ueeee

weekend!

The last weekend with Pilun (one of my very best friends) living in London!

Everything is going to be allright! :)

que viva spain

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Spain crowned champions of Europe thanks to a Fernando Torres goal. I think you already knew that.

Was a great match and better celebration here in London.

Yes, I took a bath in trafalgar square, didn’t you?

And of course no! she wasn’t there… shame! :p

I am suffering from post holiday syndrome

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

Yes. I’ve just got back from holidays (including garruchaff, the best party ever made) and can’t settle into work again. Symptoms like tiredness, lack of appetite, muscle ache and anxiety are in the way of my neurons.

But I am not worried at all, I know I am going to get back into a routine and I’ve taken desperate measures to do it asap:

  • Don’t going straight back to work
  • Working out what I have to do
  • Keep up my exercise habit
  • Having some ?me time’
  • Booking my next break
  • Recharging my batteries by switching off from work
  • Cutting back on my TV viewing
  • Re-evaluating my priorities
  • Keeping the holiday groove going

little genius - by pilun

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Another fantastic night in the Dublin Castle. Very good musicians and great atmosphere, except for that litle groupie insisting on doing all those bootie dances to every kind of music!

Of all the bands I saw yesterday I got very impressed with these guys! Happy mid tempo songs with compacts guitar and superb voices! I have seen many notorious bands that should learn a lot from these guys about how to sing on a stage. Great jobs guys! I tried to buy your demo but you insisted on givin them for free so this post is my payback! Everyone with a little time, please have a look to these guys! They are good!

Cheers!

BTW I am going to the beach for a couple of weeks so take care amigos, see you then!

Yo Buddies!!,

Saturday I was on a Baptism and I want to share some pictures with you!!

Baptism was on Saturday night, it was at a military base in Getafe in Madrid. It was there because they were a lot of guests. Seriously, it was the larger Baptism i ever was. Here is the Altar’s pic:

Just in front of it there was the Choir place an the light&sound techs (necessary since it was a night and crowded Baptism):

leake st, art tunnel

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Last week I finally had a chance to go to check out the remains of the Cans Festival that took part few weeks ago in London (I couldn’t make it then because was so crowded was imposible to go in), where the international artists invited by Banksy decorated the tunnel (used as a taxi run in the days before Eurostar decamped) close to Bakerloo.

If you have not gone yet, you are able to check out the stencils for yourself over the next six months. 100% must be seen!

are you going to berlin for easter?

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Then this email may helps you!

Chaps, I am not going to update Frucomeci.com this easter because I am going to be off until next Tuesday… Wow!! Where am I going? Berlin! Sausage-Beer-Sausage-Beer-Beer-Beer… Coolio!

Why? Just tourism, No! I am not visiting the famous Angry German Kid, even though I would love to meet this guy!

Where about in Berlin? What am I going to do? For this, I am going to paste an email that Paul (a basketball’s friend) sent me yesterday with some Berlin information he pull out for me (very nice guy!)

For some rock go to the Sage Club

For Electro check out the Watergate, Weekend (this one has a great view over Berlin, cool one!) or Maria

Very “Trendy” are the Icon and Cookies, very hard to get in, I believe it is around Friedrichstrasse corner to Unter den Linden

For Nightlife information check out these ones: zitty.de and berlinonline.de

Bars, Pubs, Restaurants, etc. are around “Hackescher Markt” (is also a S-Bahnhof), very cool ? sometimes too cool area ? but definitely go there. Around there is a German restaurant called “Sophieneck” in the street called Sophienstrasse. Another german restaurant is “Hirsch” in the Kopernikusstr 3, near underground station Warschauer strasse.

Around Underground station Eberswalderstr are also a lot of “In” bars etc. The area is called Prenzlauer Berg. Also around there is a facility with several bars and different styles of music: kulturbrauerei-berlin.de

On Sundays if the weather allows it a Berliner goes to Friedrichshain to Simon-Dach-Strasse, get some brunch in one of the cocktail bars and after that to the makret at Boxhagener Platz…stylish people all over. If you go there check out a shop with scandinavian fashion called ?Vispy?, address is Gaertnerstrasse 26.

Very helpful mate!

Have a nice easter everyone!

let’s have a pint

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

After a hard day work I’ve been having some pints with my friend Pilun and was one of these days I couldn’t disagree with this famous quote.

Quote of my day:

“I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me.”
